The farm is holding a flash sale this weekend (Friday 28 – Sunday 30 July) because of an unprecedented raspberry crop. People looking to keep eating a healthy diet despite rising food costs can stock up now for the months ahead.
“In the 40 years growing fruit, mum’s never seen a raspberry crop like it,” says Jim McLauchlan.
Flash sale: 25% off 3kg or more of pick your own raspberries until Sunday 30 July 2023
Locally grown, in season, freshly-picked fruit has an unmatched flavour to out of season fruit flown in from overseas. Many of the farm’s regulars are foodies, healthy eaters, and those concerned about reducing food miles. Some even have dedicated freezers just for the fruit they pick!

Raspberries are particularly good for freezing, meaning you can enjoy them for months to come. They’re a highly versatile fruit, loved by foodies, as they make excellent jam and are great for baking. They’re also one of the lowest carb fruits so they’re a staple of low carb and keto diets.
The sale is great timing for summer holidays as it’s a fun activity to get the kids out in the fresh air then busy in the kitchen baking cakes and making jam. Thankfully the weather looks to improve over the weekend.
Strawberries, gooseberries, and currants are also still available to pick.
